Costzon Baby Jogger Stroller Detailed Review - Featured Image

If you’re looking for a cheap jogging stroller with mid-range features, then you should consider checking out this Costzon Baby Jogger Stroller. Sometimes less is more, especially if you consider the fact that you’re NOT paying for features you don’t actually need.

With this jogger, like the rest on the same price point, you’re actually getting what you paid for.

In this review article, we’re going to clearly identify what you’re actually getting. Are the features worth it? Do you get any extras or bonuses too? We’ll also be discussing some caveats you need to be aware of before deciding if you should get this item.

Costzon Baby Jogger Stroller Review

Costzon is one of Baby Trend’s biggest contender when it comes to the world of affordable jogging strollers. This lightweight jogger even has a great design that it could be easily mistaken for a premium brand.

Aesthetics aside, Costzon Baby Jogger Stroller boasts of a large extendable canopy, a large storage basket underneath the seat and a more functional parent tray. It also has breaks that can be easily activated by foot.

In the next sections, we will focus on the benefits you and your baby will get with this jogger. In fact, by the time reading this article, you should be able to make an informative decision if this is a go or a no-go.

Who Can Use This Jogging Stroller?

This section is about who this jogger is for. You will learn answers to questions such as, can an infant ride this safely? Will you be able to use this on any terrain?

Babies and Toddlers

Costzon Baby Jogger Stroller has a weight capacity of up to 33 lbs. This means that it can accommodate a child up to 3 years old. However, if your child is on the bigger side, 2.5 years old will be the most realistic age limit.

This is one of the caveats of this jogging stroller. It is not designed to carry bigger kids. Why would anyone want to get this jogger if it is only to be used for a shorter amount of time than the rest? For one, it is very cheap which is great for those whose budget is tighter than usual.

In addition, given the choices between strollers of the same tier, this one is the sleekest looking.

At the time of this writing, the manufacturer has not released any seat adapter for this jogger yet. While you can still lean a car seat against it, it will not lock in place. It’s something that we would not recommend you do with your infant onboard.

Tether for added safetyIt is no surprise that a low-cost jogging stroller like this does not have an adjustable handlebar. Fortunately, the height of the handle is on a level that can accommodate parents who are 5’9” tall. There’s no need to bend down reaching for it.

As double protection for baby when you’re jogging, you can keep your baby secure with the free tractive webbing. You just loop it over on your wrist and you wouldn’t have to worry about accidentally letting go of the handlebar.

While this jogger is described by the manufacturer as an all-terrain jogger, don’t expect it to easily glide through rocky or very bumpy trails. However, it is still a lot better than using a regular stroller to push through uneven pavements.

How Comfy Is The Ride?

In this section, we focus on the riding experience for your baby. This is an important factor since it will be hard for you to go jogging or run errands if he or she ends up being uncomfortable.

Its wheels have a measurement of 12” for the front and 16” for the rear. The tires are all air-filled and made of rubber. It can easily grip most surfaces and is very easy to push on sidewalks or parks. However, do not expect it to perform the same on sandy beaches, though.

There are no additional suspensions on each wheel, so the tires are the only shock absorbers your child can get. It is still a lot better than the smaller tires of a regular stroller. In addition, you can easily park the jogger with foot brakes installed near the rear wheels.

Reclining Positions

The angle of the seat can be adjusted easily by pulling the straps on the back, behind the backrest. This is a great feature for long runs or walks. Your child will be able to take naps comfortably and not get cranky along the way.

Wide canopy coverageOne of the best features of this Costzon Baby Jogger stroller is also the most prominent one. The canopy can be extended to almost all the way down and can be adjusted into multiple positions. It gives superior protection to your child from the sun and offers privacy while he or she sleeps.

You don’t have to fold the canopy up to check your child. It has a peekaboo window so you can make sure that your little one is doing well.

What Are The Additional Features and Designs?

The features listed here are what distinguishes one jogger from the other, most of the time. While they are all designed to provide a comfy ride on uneven terrain, they pretty much differ with these additional features.

Available Colors

Costzon Baby Jogger Stroller is only available in color black. This color works well either for a boy or a girl. Unless you jog in the early evenings or mornings, you shouldn’t have to worry about the stroller not being too visible.

Parent Tray/Baby Tray

Parent tray with cup holdersIt comes with both a parent and a baby tray, something that you will unlikely get with high-end brands. Each tray has their own dual cup holders on either end.

The parents’ tray also has a smartphone cradle in between the cup holders. However, it is not universal and larger phones will not be able to fit. It would be best used for keys or purses in this case.

The storage underneath the seat has a weight capacity of up to 5 lbs. This is great for diaper bags or small grocery items. The only gripe I have with its design is that it’s not zippered like the one from Thule Urban Glide. Small debris and dust may accumulate on the items on this basket while you run.

How Bulky Is This Jogging Stroller?

Now we come to the part where we determine if this jogger is easy to transport. Can you easily lift and store this in your vehicle’s trunk? Is it something that you can fold back up easily?

Folding and Unfolding

Folded dimensionsCostzon Baby Jogger Stroller has an easy folding design system. It may not be as robust as that of the Graco Fastaction Fold, but it’s still a lot better than you would expect for its low price point.

To fold the jogger, you will have to pull the red tabs on either side of the handle at the same time. The jogger will then collapse and fold in half easily. Unfolding it is as easy as lifting the handle.

Storing and Transport

This jogger is simply one of the lightest models we recommend here in this site. Weighing only 22 lbs, you can easily lift and store it on your trunk. In case you need more space, you can also detach both rear wheels.

Consumer Ratings

Costzon Baby Jogger received a high rating from about 70% of the customers who reviewed it on Amazon. They are very pleased with the stroller’s performance even with such a cheap price.

Only a handful of buyers gave it a bad rating which is mostly because of wrong expectations. Having read this review, you’re very unlikely to get into the same predicament. If you need additional opinions about this product, I encourage you to check other Amazon reviews.
